Celebrate Earth Day at the Tamarac Library

Bring your youngster to the Tamarac Library for an Earth Day storytime. Children will explore the natural world’s wonder and poetry through stories, songs, and hands-on activities.

At the end, your little explorer will create an Earth Day flower craft to take home.

Save the Date

Learn how to be safe in and around the water. Join the City of Tamarac on Saturday, May 21st at the Caporella Aquatic Complex for a FREE Water Safety Expo.

This event will include water activities, swim techniques, survival basics and more. Spaces are limited and registration is required!

Get in on the fun! Plan a safe and fun-filled summer for your children at Camp Tamarac.

    • A limited number of 2022 Summer Camp spots are available.

    • Online: Participants will be provided with an access link following pre-registration. Internet access and a quiet space is required.

    • Enjoy learning about the purpose and process of meditation, to be followed by a guided 30-minute meditation session.

Positive Adjustment and Support Group: In-Person and Online

  • When: Beginning Monday March 7 and reoccurring at 11:00 am every Monday from 10:30 am – 11:30 am
  • Where:

    • Online: Participants will be provided with an access link following pre-registration. Internet access and a quiet space is required.

    • Sessions are led by a licensed mental health therapist
    • Participants will learn strategies to cope with life changes

The Tamarac Farmers’ Market

  • When: Every Sunday, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

City Provides Residents Free Rides to the Tamarac Farmers’ Market

  • When: On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. The shuttle service will pick up residents from their homes prior to 10:00 am; the return shuttle will leave the park at 12:00 pm.
  • Where: The Farmers Market is held at Tamarac Veterans Park, 7825 Southgate Blvd., Tamarac, FL 33321.

City of Tamarac Food Pantry Open to Qualified Residents

The City’s Food Pantry is open to qualified residents the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Thursday of every month while supplies last!

Residents can visit once a month to receive a supply of non-perishable food, such as canned vegetables, beans, fruits, meats, pasta, nut butters, jams, baby food and formula.

With COVID-19 safety in mind, the Pantry operates by appointment only on the first and second Thursday of each month. Only one member of a registered household may be served during their scheduled 30-minute session. Masks may be required for the duration of each visit.

  • When: By appointment only on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Thursday of every month, while supplies last
  • Where: Call 954-597-3626 to schedule an appointment
  • Requirements:
    • Must be a Tamarac resident
    • Must be experiencing a financial hardship
