Enjoy a free big-screen movie in the park this Friday!

Bicycle Safety Expo

Join the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Tamarac Fire Rescue for the Bicycle Safety Rodeo. Enjoy ride safety tips, bike races, an obstacle course and much more at this free, fun event. For more information contact (954) 247-6016.

This event will include water activities, swim techniques, survival basics and more. Spaces are limited and registration is required!

Sign Up Now for Tamarac’s Summer Camp

Get in on the fun! Plan a safe and fun-filled summer for your children at Camp Tamarac.

  • When: June 21 – August 5, 7:30 am – 6:00 pm

    • A limited number of 2022 Summer Camp spots are available.
    • Spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
    • The necessary forms are available here. If you cannot print the necessary documents, they will be available beginning March 21st at the Recreation Center, 7501 N. University Drive, Tamarac, FL 33321, or the Tamarac Community Center, 8601 Commercial Blvd., Tamarac, FL 33351 from 9:00am-6:00pm Monday through Friday.

Attention Runners and Walkers: Join Vice Mayor Mike Gelin in the Tamarac Run Club

Walkers and runners of all ages can stay healthy and get their steps in, meet neighbors and build community with Tamarac Vice Mayor Mike Gelin.

    • Online: Participants will be provided with an access link following pre-registration. Internet access and a quiet space is required.

    • Enjoy learning about the purpose and process of meditation, to be followed by a guided 30-minute meditation session.

Positive Adjustment and Support Group: In-Person and Online

  • When: Every Monday from 10:30 am – 11:30 am
  • Where:

    • Online: Participants will be provided with an access link following pre-registration. Internet access and a quiet space is required.

    • Sessions are led by a licensed mental health therapist
    • Participants will learn strategies to cope with life changes

The Tamarac Farmers’ Market

  • When: Every Sunday, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

City Provides Residents Free Rides to the Tamarac Farmers’ Market

  • When: On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. The shuttle service will pick up residents from their homes prior to 10:00 am; the return shuttle will leave the park at 12:00 pm.
  • Where: The Farmers Market is held at Tamarac Veterans Park, 7825 Southgate Blvd., Tamarac, FL 33321.

City of Tamarac Food Pantry Open to Qualified Residents

The City’s Food Pantry is open to qualified residents the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Thursday of every month while supplies last!

Residents can visit once a month to receive a supply of non-perishable food, such as canned vegetables, beans, fruits, meats, pasta, nut butters, jams, baby food and formula.

With COVID-19 safety in mind, the Pantry operates by appointment only on the first and second Thursday of each month. Only one member of a registered household may be served during their scheduled 30-minute session. Masks may be required for the duration of each visit.

  • When: By appointment only on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Thursday of every month, while supplies last

  • Requirements:
    • Must be a Tamarac resident
    • Must be experiencing a financial hardship
