Juneteenth Freedom Festival
The City of Tamarac invites everyone to this year’s Juneteenth Freedom Festival. During the Freedom Festival, featuring the Valerie Tyson Band, attendees will learn more about the story and significance of Juneteenth and enjoy traditional African American dance and much more.
2022 marks the first year that Juneteenth is a federal holiday; you can learn more here.

Juneteenth Father’s Day Basketball Tournament hosted by the City of Tamarac’s Vice Mayor Mike Gelin
Although team registration ended on June 4, you can still watch some exciting basketball! Enjoy delicious food and drink for purchase from local food truck vendors who are small, Black-owned businesses.
