- More details: Join the City of Tamarac on Friday, February 26th, 2021 at 6 pm for our Free Black History Month Celebration event. This event will take place at the Tamarac Sports Complex and will include a Virtual Presentation from Marc Lamont Hill, Art, Entertainment, and much more.

Quilting: A Historical Perspective through Art
George Gadson, world renowned South Florida artist, will guide participants through a moment in Black History that seldom is presented at Black History Month: The tradition of storytelling through quilting from slavery to today. Participants will be introduced to how quilts were used as a tool for communication during the time of Underground Railroads.

- Multi-Colored Construction Paper

Movie in the Park: Dolittle
Come together while social distancing at the City of Tamarac’s Movie in the Park to watch “Dolittle” on large inflatable screen.

- Registration is required to attend this free event; spaces are limited so reserve your spot now. 10 x 10 spaces will be marked on the field with 8 ft between spaces
- Up to 6 people in each space and must be from the same family
- Only one ticket/ registration is needed per family

- Concessions will not be available; please bring your own snacks and drinks and bring your own chairs or blankets.
BSO Bunny Home Visits: Sign Up Now!

- Floppy the Easter Bunny will be making a visit to your home on the 20th or the 27th with a basket of goodies!
- A ticket will need to be purchased for each child in your household in order for them to receive a goodie bag.

Hippity-Hoppity Build-a-Basket

Reminder: City of Tamarac Food Pantry Open to Qualified Residents
The City will be opening its Food Pantry to qualified residents the 2nd & 4th Thursday of every month while supplies last!
- When: By appointment on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month, while supplies last

- Requirements:
- Must be a Tamarac resident
- Must be experiencing a financial hardship

Tamarac Community Farmers Market
- When: Every Sunday, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Where: Veteran’s Memorial Park, 7825 Southgate Blvd., Tamarac, Florida
- Cost: Free
- More Details: The farmer’s market is a great place to shop for fresh produce, tea, honey, sauces, baked goods, hummus, pickles, and other artisanal goodies. At the market, you’ll be able to meet the producers and even sample their locally prepared, all-natural products.
