Tonight is, of course, the City’s Drive-Through Halloween Haunt. Before or after the Haunt, though, you can squeeze in a workout, make some yummy snacks, or create your own Halloween craft.
The City of Tamarac’s Parks and Recreation Department has come up with some delicious Halloween-themed snacks and treats, as well as some innovative ways to burn them off, whether through working out using a pumpkin or moving around gathering supplies to make a Pumpkin Superhero.
The at-home workout, “Freaky Fitness” (which uses pumpkins), is sure to become a favorite. (The photo above is excerpted from the video.)
This quick workout is available on the City of Tamarac’s Parks and Recreation Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TamaracParks/videos/848332349245284/. As always, consult with your physician before beginning any exercise program.
Spooky Monster Munch
In another Parks and Recreation video, learn how to make a great Halloween-themed snack. The recipe is easy to follow; you can find the ingredient list in the video (hint: it involved lots of crunch and chocolate). This “Spooky Monster Munch” treat is easy to adapt if, for example, you need to exclude nuts.
Pumpkin Superhero Craft
There’s also an easy DIY Halloween craft; instructions and materials are available in this video.
However you spend “pre-Halloween weekend,” we hope that you enjoy and stay safe.
