Free Chlorination Starts September 22 for West Tamarac

The City’s west-side water distribution temporarily returns to free drinking water chlorination beginning Tuesday, September 22, through Tuesday, October 23. Note that this does not include Fort Lauderdale’s system, which provides drinking water to those parts of Tamarac east of NW 31st Avenue. All areas of Tamarac’s system, which includes all areas west of State Road 7/U.S. 441, will receive the chlorination treatment.

According to the City website, “While this process will not cause adverse health effects, but during this period, some individuals may experience a slight change in taste or odor in the tap water.
