Tamarac Commissioners set to discuss City Manager’s fate following his arrest.

The Tamarac City Commission will meet today. Commissioners say Mayor Michelle J. Gomez was hard-pressed into calling the meeting to discuss the status of the City Manager position. In an email to residents, Bolton warned that his colleague’s priorities were in the wrong place and that he was disappointed they failed to act swiftly. Commissioner Gelin spoke to his almost 14,000 Instagram followers exposing the City Manager’s arrest. Like Bolton, Gelin said he called for a special meeting for the same day.

Vice Mayor Elvin Villalobos and Commissioner Debra Placko both remained silent. After a slew of email communications from Bolton to residents, Gomez relented and scheduled an emergency meeting.

Kathleen Gunn, a protégé of Michael Cernech, is expected to be named Interim City Manager. Elvin Villalobos told another media outlet that Gunn is ready for the Job. A job she watched Cernech do. It seems Tamarac will perpetuate corruption, thanks to any elected official who gives Gunn their vote of confidence, even in Cernech’s permanent or temporary departure.

Elvin’s angels [Placko and Gomez] are poised to name Gunn as interim Manager based on their past voting record together. Bolton and Gelin were unavailable for comment on their positions.

The special meeting will take place in Chambers, Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88th Ave., Tamarac, Fl 33321 at 5 pm. Residents may attend in person or online. However, only residents who appear in person can participate by asking questions.
