Tomorrow is, of course, Halloween. The City of Tamarac is hosting a Trick or Treat Story Walk at Waters Edge Park, 7508 NW 61st St, Tamarac, FL 33321.
The six-acre park, which just had its grand opening this past March, includes a modern splash pad, covered playground, picnic shelters, and more.
The Trick or Treat Story Walk includes a free interactive reading of “Evelyn Del Rey is Moving Away.” Visitors can also enjoy a (socially distanced) stroll through the park.
The event, which takes place from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, includes book and candy bag giveaways while supplies last. For more information, call (954) 597-3674.
According to Penguin Random House, Evelyn Del Rey is Moving Away, written by Newbery Medalist Meg Medina and illustrated by Sonia Sanchez, is “the bittersweet story of two girls who will always be each other’s número uno, even though one is moving away.”
