Tonight! Property Tax Town Hall Meeting 

Property taxes may be changing. Do you know what this means for you? Join City of Tamarac Vice Mayor Marlon D. Bolton, Broward County Property Appraiser Marty Kiar and City of Lauderhill Mayor Denise D. Grant for this important community conversation at one of these informative sessions. 

Property taxes affect every homeowner, renter, and business in our community.

At this informative Town Hall, you’ll learn more about the proposed changes, how property taxes work, and will have an opportunity to get your questions answered.

This session promises to be informative and useful whether you’re a long-time homeowner, a first-time buyer, or just want to understand how these proposed changes may impact you.

Patriot Day, September 11 

In observance of the holiday, City offices will be closed. Park and City facility hours may also be adjusted and are subject to change. 

Budget Hearing – First Public Hearing 

This meeting will include adopting the FY 2027 final assessment resolutions and adopting a tentative millage rate and tentative budget for FY 2027.

Public Notice: Design/Build Westside Dog Park NW 108th Terrace Project 

The purpose of this meeting is to evaluate responses to Solicitation Number 26-34R, Design/Build of the Westside Dog Park off NW 108th Terrace Project.

Pre-Application Neighborhood Meeting 

The City of Tamarac will hold a pre-application meeting for the purpose of affording residents and/or interested parties the opportunity to ask questions or provide comments and suggestions about the proposed community park. There is a proposed major site plan approval request for the former Shaker Village Clubhouse Property to allow for the development of the City of Tamarac Eastside Community Park at 2 The Common, Tamarac, FL 33319.

Reminders 

Neighborhood Partnership Program: Application Period Ends on September 14! 

This program is a community development initiative committed to building active, beautiful, and healthy communities. Through this program, homeowners’ associations, neighborhood associations, and other organizations compete for grants to improve their communities, such as:

  • Beautifying public spaces
  • Upgrading neighborhood signs
  • Median landscaping
  • Street tree plantings in rights-of-way 

Owner-Occupied Minor Home Repairs Program 

The Minor Home Repair/Rehabilitation Program (MHR) helps qualified City of Tamarac homeowners with home repair/rehabilitation of their owner-occupied properties through repairs/rehabilitation to address health and safety issues, correct code violations, eliminate unsafe and substandard living conditions and accessibility (i.e. eliminate architectural barriers) for special needs and the elderly. 

  • When: Application Period Opens September 8, 10:00 am and closes on September 21 at 12:00 pm, or when 150 applications are received (whichever comes first)
  • Where: Submissions are accepted online only at gov/Home-Rehabilitation.

The Tamarac Resident Survey is now open! Your voice matters! All Tamarac residents are invited to participate.

Your feedback helps our city learn more about what’s working well and where they can improve. It also helps guide future City decisions about services, programs, projects, and priorities.

Be sure to take the time to answer every question, and provide additional feedback where possible.

ETC Institute will compile the results and present a report to the City in the weeks ahead.

After submitting your survey, you’ll have the opportunity to enter a drawing for a chance to win a $500 prepaid Visa gift card.
