On Friday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday, City offices will be closed. Park and City facility hours may also be adjusted and are subject to change.

Juneteenth Community & Culture Block Party 

This family-friendly community celebration honors Juneteenth, the historic commemoration of the emancipation of enslaved African Americans, while uplifting Black culture, excellence, creativity, and legacy. The Block party will bring residents and visitors together in this vibrant, welcoming space rooted in unity, pride, and cultural expression.

Double Life – Hosted by Vice Mayor Marlon D. Bolton

Celebrate Father’s Day with an unforgettable evening of drama, laughter and powerful storytelling at the Annual Father’s Day Play, Double Life. This compelling production explores the hidden struggles, choices, and realities faced by individuals balancing two worlds while highlighting the importance of family, fatherhood, forgiveness, and redemption. Filled with emotional performances and meaningful life lessons, Double Life promises to inspire, entertain, and spark conversations.

Tamarac Community Farmers Market 

The Tamarac Community Farmers Market is a great place to shop for baked goods, fresh produce, honey, hummus, pickles, sauces, tea, and many other artisanal goodies. You’ll also enjoy meeting the producers and sampling their locally prepared, all-natural products.
