The Sugar Hill Gang Headlining Third Annual One Tamarac Multicultural Festival

TAMARAC, Fla., February 14, 2020 (Newswire.com) – The City of Tamarac will celebrate its diversity at the third annual One Tamarac Multicultural Festival on Saturday, Feb. 22. The legendary Sugar Hill Gang will headline the event, performing hip hop music including their 1979 signature song “Rapper’s Delight,” which was the first rap single to become a Top 40 hit.

The event features a variety of entertainment, cultural exhibits, food vendors, a children’s fun zone and a fireworks finale. It takes place at the Tamarac Sports Complex, 9901 NW 77th St., from 4–8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22. Admission is free.

In addition to The Sugar Hill Gang, musical acts include The Latin Ensemble, the Melo Groove Steel Orchestra, the Rhythms School of Dance and Marinera en el Mundo Florida.

“One Tamarac has quickly become one of our largest and most popular community-building events,” said Tamarac Mayor Michelle J. Gomez. “We’ve got a great lineup this year and look forward to another successful celebration of our multicultural community.”

Event parking will be limited. The City will provide continuous shuttle bus transportation from Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88th Avenue, and the Tamarac Community Center, 8601 W. Commercial Blvd., between 3:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and following the fireworks. For more information, visit www.Tamarac.org/SpecialEvents or call (954) 597-3620.
